  • 6 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

For the Peanut Butter Layer

  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter (or crunchy)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the Chocolate Topping

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (or dark chocolate)
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Make the Graham Cracker Crust

Combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter until evenly coated. Press firmly into the bottom of an 8x8-inch pan lined with parchment paper. Chill while preparing the peanut butter layer.

2. Make the Peanut Butter Layer

Beat peanut butter, softened butter, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Spread evenly over the chilled crust. Refrigerate while preparing the chocolate topping.

3. Make the Chocolate Topping

Melt chocolate chips and butter in the microwave (30-second intervals) or over a double boiler, stirring until smooth. Spread over the peanut butter layer and refrigerate until set.

4. Slice & Serve

Once chilled and firm, cut into bars and enjoy. Optional: garnish with nuts or drizzle caramel on top.
