Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips or chunks
  • flaky sea salt, for topping

Method
 

  1. Beat butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla extract.
  3. Whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
  4. Mix dry ingredients into wet to form dough, then fold in chocolate chips.
  5. Chill dough for 30 minutes.
  6. Bake scooped dough at 350°F for 10–12 minutes.
  7. Sprinkle warm cookies with flaky sea salt.
