Ingredients
  

  • 2 slices bread of choice
  • 2 slices cheddar or melting cheese
  • 1 tablespoon softened butter

Method
 

  1. Butter one side of each bread slice evenly from edge to edge.
  2. Place one slice butter-side down in a skillet over medium-low heat and add cheese on top.
  3. Top with the second slice, butter-side up, and cover the pan for 1 minute to encourage melting.
  4. Remove the lid and cook until the bottom is golden and crisp, then flip once.
  5. Cook the second side until golden and the cheese is fully melted. Slice and serve immediately.
