Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups fresh cranberries, rinsed
  • 2 cups strawberries, hulled
  • 4 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 packet fruit pectin

Method
 

  1. Rinse cranberries and strawberries. Pulse in a food processor until finely chopped but not pureed.
  2. Combine fruit with orange juice, lemon juice, cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg in a large pot. Bring to a gentle boil.
  3. Stir in pectin and bring to a rolling boil. Add sugar gradually and boil hard for 1 minute.
  4. Remove from heat, skim foam, and ladle into sterilized jars. Seal and process in a water bath for 10 minutes or refrigerate for immediate use.

Notes

For stronger spice flavor, increase cinnamon or add a pinch of cardamom or ginger. The jam deepens in flavor after a few days of resting.
