Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 Granny Smith apples, diced
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1-2 tbsp milk for glaze
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract for glaze

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Prepare a 9x5 loaf pan with parchment.
  2. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy, then beat in eggs, sour cream, milk, and vanilla.
  3. Whisk in flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until just combined.
  4. Fold in diced apples.
  5. Mix brown sugar and cinnamon together.
  6. Layer batter and cinnamon mixture in the pan.
  7. Swirl with a knife and bake 55–65 minutes.
  8. Cool completely, then drizzle with glaze.
