- Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a loaf pan.
- Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a bowl.
- Cream butter and sugar until light. Add eggs and vanilla.
- Alternate adding dry ingredients and buttermilk, mixing just until combined.
- Fold in toasted pecans.
- Layer batter with cinnamon-sugar swirl in the pan and gently swirl with a knife.
- Bake for 55–65 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool, then drizzle with glaze if desired.
