Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded cheese
  • black pepper or herbs (optional)
  • 2 tbsp oil or butter for cooking

Method
 

  1. Mix flour and salt. Add oil and warm water gradually to form a soft dough.
  2. Knead briefly until smooth, cover, and rest for 15 minutes.
  3. Divide dough into portions and roll each into a ball.
  4. Flatten dough, add cheese filling, seal, and gently flatten again.
  5. Cook in a lightly greased skillet over medium heat until golden on both sides.
  6. Serve warm and enjoy the stretchy cheese center.
