- Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a baking dish.
- Mix ground meat, onion, garlic, parsley, egg, breadcrumbs, salt, pepper, and oregano. Form into meatballs.
- Arrange sliced potatoes in the baking dish and nestle meatballs between them.
- Drizzle with olive oil, pour in broth and cream if using, and season lightly.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes until potatoes are tender.
- Uncover, sprinkle with cheese, and bake 10–15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
