  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.75 cup buttermilk
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F and melt butter in a baking dish.
  2. Whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar in a bowl.

  5. Bake 20–25 minutes until golden and set. Cool slightly before serving.
