Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups mashed potatoes, cooled
  • 1 large egg
  • 0.5 cup shredded cheese
  • 0.5 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon black pepper
  • 0.75 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs or panko
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup flour, for coating
  • cheese cubes or cooked fillings of choice
  • oil or cooking spray, for frying or baking

Method
 

  1. Mix mashed potatoes with egg, shredded cheese, seasonings, and flour until firm.
  2. Flatten potato mixture, add filling to center, and roll into sealed balls.
  3. Coat each ball in flour, then egg, then breadcrumbs.
  4. Fry, bake, or air fry until golden and heated through.
  5. Drain briefly and serve hot with dipping sauce.
