Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar, divided
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 2 large eggs
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, melted and divided
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups apples, peeled and chopped

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk dry ingredients together in a large bowl.
  3. Whisk eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla in a separate bowl.
  4. Combine wet and dry ingredients gently, then fold in apples.
  5. Scoop batter onto baking sheet and bake until golden and set.
  6. Dip warm fritters in melted butter and roll in cinnamon sugar.
