Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar, packed
  • pinch of salt
  • 0.75 cup brown sugar, packed (for filling)
  • 0.33 cup light corn syrup or honey
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cups chopped pecans

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven and grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.
  2. Mix crust ingredients, press into pan, and bake briefly to set.
  3. Whisk filling ingredients until smooth, then stir in pecans.
  4. Pour filling over crust and spread evenly.
  5. Bake until set around edges and slightly soft in center. Cool completely before slicing.
