  • 6 slices thick bread, cubed
  • 3 large eggs
  • 0.5 cup milk or half-and-half
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 0.25 cup sugar for coating
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon for coating

Method
 

  1. Cut bread into evenly sized cubes.
  2. Whisk eggs, milk, vanilla, cinnamon, and sugar in a bowl.
  3. Dip bread cubes into custard mixture.
  4. Cook cubes in butter over medium heat until golden on all sides.
  5. Toss warm bites in cinnamon sugar and serve.
