Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 cups Granny Smith apples, peeled and diced
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a loaf pan.
  2. Cream butter and sugar until light. Add eggs, vanilla, and sour cream and mix well.
  3. Stir in flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until just combined. Fold in apples.
  4. Layer half the batter in pan, sprinkle with cinnamon sugar mixture, repeat, and swirl gently.
  5. Bake until golden and a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs. Cool, then glaze.
