Ingredients
  

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon neutral oil for pan

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a loaf pan with neutral oil.
  2. Whisk flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar in a large bowl.
  3. Pour in the milk and melted butter, then stir until just combined.
  4. Spoon the dough into the loaf pan and smooth the top.
  5. Bake for 45–50 minutes, or until the top is golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool 10 minutes, then remove from the pan and let cool fully before slicing.
