Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 large apples, peeled and diced
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2-3 tablespoons milk for glaze
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla for glaze

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. Toss diced apples into the dry mixture.
  4. Whisk eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla in a separate bowl.
  5. Combine wet and dry ingredients and stir until just mixed.
  6. Scoop batter into 12 mounds on the baking sheet.
  7. Bake 18–20 minutes until golden around the edges.
  8. Mix glaze ingredients until smooth.
  9. Drizzle warm fritters with glaze.
  10. Cool until glaze sets before serving.
