  • 1 piece 9-inch pie crust
  • 1.5 cups pecan halves, toasted
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup dark corn syrup
  • 0.75 cup brown sugar
  • 0.25 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp bourbon (optional)
  • 0.5 tsp salt

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and place pie crust in a 9-inch pie plate.
  2. Whisk eggs, corn syrup, brown sugar, butter, vanilla, bourbon, and salt until smooth.
  3. Fold toasted pecans into the filling mixture.
  4. Pour filling into crust and bake until edges are set and center slightly jiggles.
  5. Cool completely before slicing and serving.
