A festive cranberry orange jam with warm spices, naturally thickened without pectin.

Ingredients
  

  • 12 oz fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 1 cup orange juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1 tbsp orange zest
  • 1.5 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 tsp ground cloves
  • 0.5 tsp ground ginger

  • wooden spoon

Method
 

  1. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan.
  2. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally.
  3. Cook until cranberries burst and mixture thickens.
  4. Remove from heat and cool slightly.
  5. Transfer to jars and refrigerate or can if desired.
