  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup milk or dairy-free milk
  • 0.25 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 0.25 tsp salt

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a baking pan.
  2. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Add milk and oil and stir until just combined.
  4. Pour batter into pan and smooth the top.
  5. Bake until golden and a toothpick comes out clean. Cool before slicing.
