- Preheat oven to 350°F and grease an 8x8 baking pan.
- In a bowl, whisk flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Make three wells and add oil, vinegar, and vanilla, then pour water over all.
- Stir until smooth and pour batter into prepared pan.
- Bake 30–35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool before slicing.
