Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.25 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.33 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp white vinegar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup water

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease an 8x8 baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Make three wells and add oil, vinegar, and vanilla, then pour water over all.
  4. Stir until smooth and pour batter into prepared pan.
  5. Bake 30–35 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool before slicing.
