Ingredients
  

  • 0.5 cup unsalted butter
  • 4 oz dark chocolate, chopped
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0.75 cup all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar for dusting

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease an 8-inch cake pan.
  2. Melt butter and chocolate together until smooth. Let cool slightly.
  3. Whisk sugar, eggs, and vanilla into the chocolate mixture.
  4. Fold in flour, cocoa powder, and salt until just combined.
  5. Pour batter into pan and bake for 30–35 minutes.
  6. Cool completely, then dust with powdered sugar before serving.
