Ingredients
  

  • 3.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2.25 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 0.25 cup granulated sugar
  • 0.5 cup butter, melted
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.75 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • 0.75 cup walnuts, chopped and toasted
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 0.25 cup butter, softened (for frosting)
  • 1.5 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Method
 

  1. Dissolve yeast in warm milk with a pinch of sugar until foamy.
  2. Mix in eggs, melted butter, sugar, salt, and flour to form a soft dough.
  3. Knead until smooth, cover, and let rise until doubled.
  4. Roll dough out, spread butter, sprinkle cinnamon sugar and walnuts.
  5. Roll up, slice, and place in baking dish. Let rise again.
  6. Bake at 350°F for 25–30 minutes until golden.
  7. Beat frosting ingredients and spread over warm rolls.
