- Line an 8x8-inch pan with parchment paper.
- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Add sugar, milk, and cocoa powder. Stir constantly.
- Once bubbling, cook for 3 minutes, stirring continuously.
- Remove from heat, stir in vanilla, and pour into prepared pan.
- Let cool completely before cutting into squares.
