Ingredients
  

  • 30 oz frozen hash browns, thawed
  • 2 cups sour cream
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup (10.5 oz)
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 cups crushed cornflakes or Ritz crackers
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted (for topping)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine hash browns, sour cream, soup, cheese, melted butter, salt, and pepper.
  3. Spread mixture evenly into prepared baking dish.
  4. Mix crushed cornflakes or crackers with melted butter and sprinkle evenly on top.
  5. Bake uncovered for 40–45 minutes until hot and golden.
  6. Let rest 5 minutes before serving.
