Quick and comforting pasta with ground beef in a rich garlic butter sauce.

Ingredients
  

  • 12 oz pasta (penne, rotini, or spaghetti)
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup beef broth or reserved pasta water
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Method
 

  1. Cook pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve 1 cup pasta water and drain.
  2. Brown ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat if needed.
  3. Add butter and garlic to the skillet and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  4. Stir in cream and broth or pasta water. Simmer gently until sauce thickens slightly.
  5. Add cooked pasta and toss to coat. Season with salt and pepper and serve warm.
