Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb Italian sausage
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 24 oz crushed tomatoes
  • 2 tbsp Italian seasoning
  • 12 pieces lasagna noodles
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a large baking dish.
  2. Cook ground beef and Italian sausage with onion and garlic until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Stir in crushed tomatoes and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 15 minutes.
  4. Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions if using traditional noodles.
  5. Layer sauce, noodles, ricotta, and mozzarella in the baking dish. Repeat layers.
  6. Top with remaining sauce, mozzarella, and parmesan. Cover and bake for 30 minutes, then uncover and bake 10 minutes more.
