Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground sausage
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil or butter
  • 1 tube refrigerated crescent roll dough or pie crust
  • 2 cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F and grease a baking dish.
  2. Cook sausage in a skillet until browned. Remove excess grease.
  3. Add onion and cook until soft. Stir in garlic and red pepper flakes if using.
  4. Press dough into the baking dish to form the crust.
  5. Spread sausage mixture evenly over the crust and top with cheese.
  6. Bake for 25–30 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is melted. Rest before slicing.
