Ingredients
  

  • 1 9-inch pie crust
  • 1 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup caramel sauce

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and blind bake the pie crust until lightly golden.
  2. Heat milk and cream gently in a saucepan until warm.
  3. Whisk sugar and eggs together, then slowly add warm milk mixture.
  4. Stir in caramel sauce and vanilla, then strain the custard.
  5. Pour custard into crust and bake 35–40 minutes until just set.
  6. Cool completely, then chill at least 4 hours before serving.
