Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar (for cream cheese layer)
  • 1 egg (for cream cheese layer)
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (for cream cheese layer)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and line an 8x8-inch baking pan.
  2. Mix melted butter, sugars, eggs, vanilla, and cocoa powder until smooth.
  3. Fold in flour and salt just until combined.
  4. Beat cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
  5. Spread brownie batter in pan, add cream cheese layer, and swirl with reserved batter.
  6. Bake 30–35 minutes until set. Cool completely before slicing.
