Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 cups crushed vanilla wafers
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 box instant chocolate pudding mix (3.9 oz)
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 8 oz whipped topping, divided
  • 21 oz cherry pie filling
  • additional whipped topping for topping

Method
 

  1. Mix crushed vanilla wafers with melted butter and press firmly into the bottom of an 8x8-inch dish.
  2. Whisk pudding mix with cold milk until thickened, then fold in half of the whipped topping.
  3. Spread the chocolate mixture evenly over the crust.
  4. Spoon cherry pie filling gently over the chocolate layer.
  5. Top with remaining whipped topping, cover, and chill for at least 4 hours before serving.
