Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 lb ground pork or turkey
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon minced ginger
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 pinch white pepper
  • 24 pieces wonton wrappers
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 6 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 slices fresh ginger
  • 2 pieces green onions
  • 1 cup bok choy, chopped
  • 1 small carrot, thinly sliced

Method
 

  1. Mix ground meat with soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, and white pepper.
  2. Fill wonton wrappers with mixture, seal with beaten egg, and set aside.
  3. Simmer chicken broth, water, ginger, and green onions for 10 minutes.
  4. Add vegetables and cook briefly until tender.
  5. Add wontons and cook until they float and are cooked through.
  6. Serve hot with garnishes as desired.
