Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup mashed ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and prepare an 8x8-inch baking pan.
  2. Mix bananas, sugars, eggs, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Fold in dry ingredients and optional mix-ins.
  4. Bake until set and cool completely.
  5. Brown butter, then mix frosting ingredients.
  6. Spread frosting over cooled brownies and slice.
