Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups water
  • 4 whole cloves
  • 1 teaspoon honey (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice (optional)
  • 1 small cinnamon stick (optional)

Method
 

  1. Add the water and whole cloves to a small saucepan.
  2. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat. Reduce heat and simmer for 8–10 minutes to infuse.
  3. Turn off the heat and let the tea steep for 2–3 minutes for a stronger flavor, if desired.
  4. Strain into a mug. Sweeten with honey and add lemon juice if you like. Serve warm.

Notes
