Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup mashed ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or chocolate chips (optional)

Method
 

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas in a large bowl until smooth.
  3. Stir in the granulated sugar, brown sugar, egg, and vanilla until combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Add dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir just until combined.
  6. Fold in optional add-ins if using.
  7. Scoop dough onto the baking sheet and flatten slightly.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are set. Cool before serving.
