Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 3 cups fresh rhubarb, chopped
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour or cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional)
  • 1 pinch salt

Method
 

  1. Combine strawberries and rhubarb in a large bowl.
  2. Whisk sugar, flour or cornstarch, cinnamon, and salt together.
  3. Add dry mixture and lemon juice to fruit and toss gently to coat.
  4. Let filling rest 15–20 minutes if desired.
  5. Use filling in pie or desired dessert and bake as directed.
