Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium yellow onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 10.5 oz condensed French onion soup
  • 10.5 oz beef consommé or beef broth
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme
  • 8 oz egg noodles
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Chopped parsley, for garnish (optional)

Method
 

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Sauté onions until soft and golden. Add garlic and ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess grease if needed.
  2. Stir in French onion soup, beef consommé, Worcestershire sauce, and thyme. Bring to a simmer.
  3. Mix in egg noodles, cover, and cook 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until noodles are tender.
  4. Remove from heat. Stir in sour cream and season with salt and pepper. Garnish with parsley before serving.

Notes
