Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 medium apples, peeled and diced
  • vegetable oil for frying

Method
 

  1. Mix dry ingredients in a large bowl.
  2. Whisk milk, egg, and vanilla, then combine with dry ingredients.
  3. Fold in diced apples gently.
  4. Heat oil to 350°F and fry large spoonfuls of batter until golden.
  5. Drain and drizzle with glaze or toss in cinnamon sugar.
