- Toss potatoes with salt and pepper in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave 4 minutes, stir, then 2–4 minutes more until tender.
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté onions until soft and lightly browned.
- Add garlic and kielbasa; cook 3 minutes until golden.
- Add potatoes; toss and let sit undisturbed for a few minutes to crisp. Stir occasionally.
- Add cabbage, season with salt and pepper, splash water, cover, and steam 2 minutes until wilted but crisp.
- Adjust seasoning and serve hot.
