Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 325°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy, then mix in vanilla.
  3. Gradually add flour and mix just until a smooth dough forms.
  4. Roll dough to 1/2-inch thickness, cut into shapes, and place on baking sheet.
  5. Bake 15–20 minutes until edges are lightly golden. Cool completely.
