  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder (or 4 cloves minced garlic)
  • ¼ tsp dried thyme
  • ½-1 tsp red chili flakes (optional) Adjust for spice preference.
  • 16 oz gnocchi Store-bought gnocchi is recommended.
  • 2 cups heavy cream or half-and-half Use for creamy texture.
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (medium or sharp) Different types of cheese can be used for variations.

  1. Cook bacon until crispy, then chop and set aside.
  2. In a large pot, heat butter or oil and sauté onions and carrots until tender.
  3. Add chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
  4. Stir in heavy cream, seasonings, and shredded cheese, stirring continuously.
  5. Add gnocchi and cook for 2 minutes or until soft.
  6. Stir in bacon, adjust seasoning, and serve hot.
