  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
  • 16 slices toasted baguette for serving
  • 24 crackers buttery crackers for serving
  • 2 cups tortilla chips for serving
  • 2 cups fresh vegetable sticks for serving

Equipment

  • 8-inch oven-safe baking dish
  • large mixing bowl
  • Electric hand mixer or sturdy mixing spoon
  • silicone spatula
  • Measuring Cups and Spoons
  • Sharp kitchen knife
  • cutting board
  • Colander
  • paper towels
  • Food thermometer
  • Oven mitts

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease an 8-inch baking dish or a small oven-safe skillet.
  2. If using frozen cooked shrimp, thaw completely. Drain thoroughly, pat dry with paper towels, and chop into small bite-sized pieces. Drain the crab meat and carefully remove any shell fragments.
  3. Place softened cream cheese in a large mixing bowl and beat until smooth. Add sour cream and mayonnaise, then mix until completely combined.
  4. Stir in 1 cup mozzarella, 1/2 cup cheddar, 1/4 cup Parmesan, minced garlic, green onions, lemon juice, Old Bay seasoning, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and salt.
  5. Gently fold the chopped cooked shrimp, lump crab meat, and 1 tablespoon fresh parsley into the creamy cheese mixture. Avoid overmixing to preserve the seafood texture.
  6. Transfer the seafood mixture into the prepared baking dish and spread evenly with a silicone spatula.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup mozzarella, 1/4 cup cheddar, and 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan evenly over the seafood dip.
  8. Bake uncovered for approximately 20-25 minutes until the dip is hot and bubbly, the cheese has melted, and the center reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  9. For a golden, bubbly topping, broil for 1-2 minutes while watching carefully. Remove from the oven, rest for 5 minutes, and garnish with the remaining tablespoon of chopped parsley.
  10. Serve the warm seafood dip with toasted baguette slices, buttery crackers, tortilla chips, or fresh vegetable sticks.
