- Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C) for even cooking.
- Pound the chicken breasts to about 1/2 inch thickness.
- Prepare a breading station with breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in one dish, and olive oil in another for the chicken.
- Bread the chicken by dipping each breast into the olive oil and then pressing it into the breadcrumb mixture.
- Place the breaded chicken in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway.
- Check the internal temperature with a meat thermometer; it should read 165°F (74°C).
- Top the cooked chicken with marinara sauce and shredded mozzarella cheese, then air fry for an additional 3-5 minutes.
- Allow the chicken to rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
