  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder Fresh minced garlic can be used as an alternative.
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder Diced fresh onion can be used instead.

For the Cheese
  • 2 cups Shredded Mozzarella Cheese Other cheese options like fontina may be considered.
  • 1 cup Grated Parmesan Cheese Pecorino Romano can substitute.

  • 1 cup Turkey Ham or Turkey Pepperoni Can be omitted for a straightforward casserole.
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs Crushed crackers or panko can be used.
  • 2 tbsp Olive Oil or Melted Butter Can substitute with non-dairy options.

How to Make Dump-and-Bake Chicken Parmesan Casserole
  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Pour the uncooked rotini evenly into the prepared baking dish.
  3. Scatter diced or shredded cooked chicken across the pasta.
  4. In a bowl, mix marinara sauce with water or chicken broth, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Pour this mixture over the pasta and chicken.
  5. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese evenly on top.
  6. Mix breadcrumbs with olive oil or melted butter until combined, then sprinkle over the casserole.
  7. Cover with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until golden.
  8. Allow to cool for 5 minutes before serving.
