Steps
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Boil the penne pasta according to package directions. Once al dente, drain and rinse under cool water.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked pasta, shredded chicken, Italian seasoning, ½ cup mozzarella, ½ cup Parmesan, and marinara sauce. Stir until blended.
- Spread the pasta mixture into a greased 9x13-inch casserole dish. Cover tightly with foil.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil, sprinkle remaining mozzarella and Parmesan, and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
- Sprinkle with fresh chopped basil before serving.
