  • 1 pound Sausage can substitute with Italian, chorizo, or turkey sausage
  • 8 large Eggs for best results
  • 1 cup Milk can substitute with non-dairy milk for lactose-free
  • 1 cup Cheddar Cheese shredded, can use any blend
  • 3 cups Bread Cubes optional, use stale or pre-dried
Seasonings
  • 1 teaspoon Salt adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper freshly ground recommended
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder can substitute with fresh garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika can use regular paprika
Optional Veggies
  • Bell Peppers chopped, optional
  • Spinach chopped, optional
  • Onions chopped, optional

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease your baking dish.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, brown the sausage until it's crumbled and golden. Drain excess grease.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and smoked paprika until smooth.
  4. Layer the cooked sausage, vegetables, and cheese in the baking dish. Pour the egg mixture over everything.
  5. Bake for 30-40 minutes until the center is set and the top is golden brown.
  6. Let cool for about 5 minutes, then slice and serve warm.
