- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Wash, peel, core, and slice your apples into thin pieces. Toss them in a mixing bowl with lemon juice, brown sugar, and spices.
- Layer 4-5 sheets of filo pastry, brushing each layer with melted butter, and sprinkle breadcrumbs and chopped nuts in between layers.
- Spoon your apple mixture onto one edge of the layered filo.
- Wrap the filling in the filo by folding over and tucking the edges to seal.
- Place the strudel seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking tray, brush the top with melted butter and bake for about 30 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Let it cool for a few minutes and dust with powdered sugar right before slicing.
