Preparation Steps
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
- Tear the day-old croissants into one-inch bite-sized pieces and spread them evenly in the prepared dish.
- Sprinkle the semi-sweet chocolate chips generously over the croissant pieces.
- Whisk together the eggs, whole milk, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and salt in a bowl until well combined.
- Pour the egg mixture evenly over the croissant and chocolate layers.
- Press down gently on the croissant pieces to help them absorb the egg mixture evenly.
- Allow the dish to sit for about 10 minutes.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the center is set.
