Crust Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8x8-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- Combine flour, oats, brown sugar, salt, and baking powder in a mixing bowl.
- Mix melted butter and vanilla extract in a separate bowl until fully combined.
- Incorporate the wet and dry ingredients, stirring until crumbly.
- Press about two-thirds of the mixture into the bottom of the lined baking dish.
Filling Preparation
- Toss fresh blackberries with granulated sugar and lemon juice in another bowl.
- Spread the blackberry mixture evenly over the pressed crust.
- Sprinkle the remaining crumb mixture and chopped pistachios on top.
Baking
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden and bubbly.
- Cool for 1 hour before slicing into squares.
- Dust with powdered sugar just prior to serving.
