Method
 

Making Cookies
  1. Prepare the Dough: Beat the butter with granulated and brown sugars until fluffy. Mix in the apple butter, cinnamon, vanilla, and salt. Gradually add the flour until well combined.
  2. Chill the Dough: Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least one hour.
  3. Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  4. Shape Cookies: Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of chilled dough onto the sheets, flattening each into discs.
  5. Bake: Bake for 10-12 minutes until the edges turn golden. Cool on sheets for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.
  6. Make the Frosting: In a saucepan, combine butter, heavy cream, and brown sugar over medium heat until boiling. Stir in vanilla and confectioners’ sugar until smooth.
  7. Frost Cookies: Frost each cooled cookie with caramel icing, drizzle with caramel, and top with apple chips and sprinkles.
