Cooking Steps
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Heat a large, oven-proof skillet over medium-high heat and add olive oil.
- Season chicken breast halves with salt and black pepper. Brown each side for 2 minutes.
- Remove chicken from skillet and set aside. Combine chicken broth, maple syrup, half of thyme, and minced garlic in the skillet. Bring to a gentle boil.
- Stir in cider vinegar and stone-ground mustard, cooking for 1 minute.
- Return the chicken to the skillet, spooning sauce over the top. Bake for 10 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Remove chicken, return the skillet to heat, and reduce sauce for 2 minutes, stirring continuously.
- Serve chicken drizzled with sauce and sprinkle with remaining thyme.
